Peanut Chikki


High Protein packed Peanuts coupled with the Nutrient rich Jaggery yields a very tasty
Crunchy bites-- Peanut Chikki..
There are peanut jaggery sweet flours as well in the form of laddoos..





All you have to stock are --




Peanuts - half cup
Jaggery - 1/3 cup

And you start--

Roast the peanuts until they turn their brown shade to dark brown shade.
Beware of too much roasting, then the peanuts will get burnt.
While the peanuts are warm, rub them between your palm and peel of the skin.




Just give a little pressure again between your palms and get them split as 2.
In a pan, place the grated jaggery and keep stirring.




Again not too much stirring as the dense jaggery will yield a hard to bite chikki.
Just the jaggery needs to melt down.
Now switch off the flame and add the peanuts and mix.




In a greased plate, place this mixture arranged as a square.




Again wait until they are warm and with the help of a greased knife make
horizontal and vertical lines to get the square cut..
Here its ready..
