Jamuns

The jamuns are the only sweet my elder son is fond of. Hence these are the apple of my eyes.

I collected:

Milk Powder - 2 cups
Salt - a pinch
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Milk - Quarter Cup

For the Syrup:

Sugar - 2 cups
Water - 2 cups
Saffron Strands - few
Elachi Powder - 1/2 tsp

Process:

First, combine the milk powder, salt and baking powder.
Add enough milk to make the above into a soft dough.
Round off small sized balls from the dough.

Meanwhile, Mix together the sugar and the water.
Bring it to heat for say some 10 minutes.

Heat oil and dip the balls and deep fry them.
Make sure you fry them in minimum heat.
Directly dip in the fried balls into the sugar syrup.

Allow them to get chilled up and serve this Jamun Delicacy to youe beloved.
