Coconut Barfi


There was a small coconut and I decided I am going to make something special out of that.
And said specials, the perfect dish will surely be the barfi :-)



Requirements

A medium size coconut
1 tbsp Elachi powder
2 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Milk

Method :

Quickly grate the coconut.. Tough is it?,,,,
Well, need not bother much. As you can always indulge in a quick grind of the chopped coconut
in a mixer. I do this way always, Hence the tired feeling of grating coconut does not bother me.
Take a wide pan, and heat up.
Add the ghee and elachi powder.
Add in the grated coconut.









Add in the sugar as well.
Give a nice stir to equally mix the coconut and sugar.
Now pour the milk and finely mix.
Keep stirring until the coconut, sugar and milk get thick and leave the sides of the pan.
At this juncture, pour the thickened stuff into a well-greased pate.
Once they get warm, slice lines with the help of a knife.
Take the cut, squared or preferred shape barfis..
