Eggless MilkBread


The home baked MilkBread is sure to bring nice Aroma and the Fluffy moist and soft Bread gives an eternal pleasure ..




 Ingredients :

Flour                   - 3 Cup
Active Dry Yeast - 1 tsp
Sugar / Honey      - Half cup
Salt                      - a pinch
Butter                   - 4 tbsp
Milk                     - 1 1/4 cup

Method :


  •  Take the warm milk and dissolve the yeast into it. Keep aside for 10 minutes, or until the milk gets foamed up.
  • Add the Sugar / Honey into the milk.
  • In another big bowl, add the Flour, Salt and mix well.
  • Make a well inside the flour and pour in the milk mixture gradually, and mixing the flour every time you pour the milk.
  • Knead to form a semi sticky dough.
  • Add the butter and knead further for some 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Grease a bowl, place the dough, cover with a wet cloth and keep aside for an hour, or until the dough puffs up.
  • Take the dough. Dust the kneading surface with some flour, place the dough and start spreading the dough inside and outiside, using palm of hand, or a Chapathi roller.
  • Punch down well to release any air inside the dough, and if you press, the dough is not going to raise and stay down in the pressed area. That shows, the dough is in a fantastic form to be baked.
  • Spread again and again. Roll the dough, spread, and repeat for as many times as you can.
  • Grease a Loaf baking vessel, place the loaf shaped dough ( either full, or you can even split them ).
  • Leave for another 1 hour, or until the dough doubles in size.
  • Grease some butter / oil / milk on top of the dough.
  • Bake in a pre heated Oven at 230 Deg C, for 30 minutes.
  • If you gonna knock the top of bread surface, you should be hearing a hollow sound.
That shows your bread has been cooked well.
