Salt Kolukatai


An ideal munch on a breezy morning..





You Need:

Rice - 1cup ( soaked overnight)
Half Coconut - grated finely
Red Chillies - 3,4
Salt - as per taste
Curry Leaves- 4,5

Process:

Start by giving a coarse grind to the rice with enough water.
The batter should be of idli batter consistency.








In a pan, add 4 tbsp oil, splutter mustard followed by curry leaves & red chillies.
Add in the grated coconut and saute for a sec.
Pour in the grinded batter.
Keep stirring until you get a smooth sough consistency.



Allow the dough to cool for 5 mins.
After which make small balls and steam for 7 minutes.
